COMPUTER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (Req 23 059)


Responsibilities:
Provide specialized IT support tailored to the specific requirements of a machine shop.
Support a network of 50-100 users, production IT equipment, and relevant servers and networks.
Prioritize exceptional customer support to promptly address user queries and concerns, ensuring smooth production processes.
Manage and maintain hardware and software systems, conducting regular updates, and troubleshooting connectivity or access challenges.
Install, configure, and maintain IT industrial control systems, including servers, computers, networks, production CNC machines, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other machine shop related systems.
Implement configuration control and processes for adding or modifying systems, ensuring consistency and stability.
Perform user account management functions, ensuring authorized access and adhering to security protocols.
Collaborate and monitor the performance of machine shop IT equipment, ensuring efficiency and promptly resolving any issues or anomalies.
Assist with documentation of configurations, network diagrams, security protocols, and operational procedures.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent, along with vocational training.
Experience:
Adequate experience performing the above responsibilities.
Other:
Must have or be able to obtain entry into the CyberSecurity Workforce (Training, COMPTIA Security+, Security Clearance).
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time during equipment installations or troubleshooting activities.
Proficient in using a stepladder for accessing elevated areas.
Must be able to traverse stairs for various job-related tasks and equipment maintenance activities.
