This position is located in the ATC Processing & Display (ATCP&D;) Branch; at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD); St. Inigoes, MD.
The selectee will beresponsible for the execution of assigned tasks in the area of shore Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems; provide technical expertise, support and services to users and maintainers of shore ATC systems; coordinate adaption plans and software support efforts; shore ATC requirements analysis and review, system upgrade reviews, software adaptation design and implementation, adaption and software testing activities, software installations, integration and troubleshooting of external interfaces.

Provide adaptation collection, integration and update services to users and maintainers of the systems.
Plan work to be accomplished; set priorities; and ensure work is completed on time for quality assurance.
Incorporate and provide inputs to standard operating practices to adapt software.
Apply detailed and diversified software adaptation, integration and testing for assigned sites.

You must possess one or more years of progressively related specialized experience in the same or similar work at a level of difficulty and responsibility that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Creditable specialized experience would include:(1) Coordinate the acquisition of services and equipment to accomplish overall project objectives and make recommendations concerning vendor performance and test results; (2) Develop milestone charts and establish major work elements to integrate, test, and install software adaptation into new software builds; (3) Develop technical criteria for providing quality assurance tests to assess and expand the capabilities of system software, adaptation and interfaces.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
