C4I Systems Engineering Support Specialist

Job Description
The selected candidate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Provide technical support to engineers as an Information Technology (IT) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems
+ Perform equipment installations, component testing, systems testing, site surveys, and other technical tasks
+ Develop and recommend inputs to technical documentation
+ Review and provide technical feedback to engineering change requests and proposals
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Typical Education & Experience
High School diploma and 6 years of related C4I experience with military or civil telecommunication systems
Required Skills and Education
High School diploma and 6 years of related C4I experience with military or civil telecommunication systems
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
CompTIA Security / CE OR within 6 months of hire date
Demonstrated experience installing, operating, and troubleshooting C4I telecommunications equipment: WAN/LAN troubleshooting, VLAN IP assignment, applications, Windows 7/10 Operating Systems, configurations, patches, data storage, and repair/replacements of equipment
Developing and updating engineering documentation, such as: test procedures, work instructions, technical directives, bulletins, white papers, reports, and engineering drawing packages
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations to provide IT SME support
Strong communication and customer service skills - interacting with government and contractor matrix teams
Preferred Skills and Education
Associate degree and 4 years of related C4I telecommunication systems experience
Active security clearance
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2012
Familiarity with mobile and transit case C4I telecommunication systems
Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Radio-over-Internet Protocol (RoIP) experience
Prior DoD experience (active duty, reserve, government civilian, or contractor)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
